Since the commencement of recalling for Covid Booster Vaccinations, we have seen an increase in the amount of calls we receive each day, relating to queries as to when you will be contacted for your booster vaccination.
We understand the need to be informed and aware. Similar to the recalling process for the primary course of the vaccination, you will be contacted when you are due for your booster vaccination. This will be either via sms or letter, the best thing to do at this time to prepare is to ensure that we have your correct contact details and preferences noted down.
As per the NHS website; ‘You'll only be able to book an appointment for a booster dose if it's been at least 6 months (180 days) since your 2nd dose of the vaccine.’
At this time therefore, the only people that are eligible for a booster vaccination are those that has the vaccination earliest; frontline health or social care workers, those aged 50 and over and those aged 16 and over with a health condition that puts you at high risk from COVID-19.
