Minor Injury

  • Mon-Fri 8am-8pm
  • Service is open to both SMG patients and patients registered elsewhere (A&E avoidance)
  • The injury must have occurred within 48 hours and we MUST be the first port of call

Foreign bodies

Muscle

·        removal of foreign bodies, eg. splinters, fish hooks, cotton buds from ears, earring butterflies

·        foreign bodies in eyes

·        Minor Cuts and grazes

·        cuts needing stitches

·        acute burns/scolds

·        acute sprains and strains

·        acute sports injuries

Head

Limb

Miscellaneous

·        Minor Head Injury

·        Minor Limb Injury

·        Whiplash
